Marble Shower Remodel in Cibolo
This shower remodel in a Cibolo home in the Saddle Creek subdivision replaced a dated prefab surround with a fully tiled walk-in shower. The existing surround was removed and the wall framing was inspected before cement board and a RedGard waterproofing membrane were applied. A built-in bench was framed at seat height and tiled with the same material as the walls.
The tile is a 12x24 inch white marble-look porcelain set in a stacked vertical pattern. Back-buttering was used on every tile to ensure full mortar coverage behind the large format. The bench top was sloped slightly toward the shower floor so water does not pool on the sitting surface. Grout was applied in a light gray tone and sealed after curing.
